Holidays are a time when people come closer and are filled with the spirit of joy and compassion. In Bridgewater, the Light Up Bridgewater Celebration on Monday, December 18th, 2023, brought together the community for a night of celebration, where neighbors got to spend time closer with each other. The evening was filled with an array of exciting events such as mesmerizing light displays, music, hot cocoa, and fun activities that created a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
The event started with lighting the luminaries throughout the community. They were placed along the front outside edge of the properties and driveways. This simple yet elegant thing created an aesthetic environment that was calming to the senses. As the luminaries glowed, neighbors embarked on leisurely rides on golf carts or walked with their families to enjoy the breathtaking ambiance created by the luminaries. Along the way, caroling took place, adding a touch of magic to an already enchanting evening.
Later, everyone descended on the Founders Lawn for an evening of storytelling, more caroling, and delicious hot chocolate. This was a perfect opportunity for the community to come together and strengthen their bonds. The readings for the night consisted of "A Visit From St. Nicholas" and the "Story of Christmas" from Luke 2:1-20. The caroling was captivating, featuring classics such as "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas," "Silver Bells," "Santa Clause is Coming to Town", and many others.
The Light Up Bridgewater Celebration was a remarkable event that brought the community together. It created a warm and inviting atmosphere where the neighbors could bond and forge new friendships. It was a wonderful way to start the holiday season and create beautiful memories with loved ones. We're looking forward to the next Light Up Bridgewater Celebration.
