Bridgewater comes TOGETHER to help feed the hungry

Hunger affects the whole community, the Low Country Food Bank partners with a network of approximately 300 community-based organizations, soup kitchens and pantries that distribute food accessed across the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina.  Through these organizations, more than 31 million pounds of food is distributed each year.

In our local community, 1 in 5 children go to bed hungry.  By working together, we can contribute to ending this problem and help those affected in Horry County.

Bridgewater neighbors along with the Chesapeake Homes Sales & Construction team collected non-perishable food items throughout the month of November.  Together, we collected over 500 lbs of canned goods, pasta, cereal and peanut butter.  Our contribution will supply over 400 meals to those struggling this season in our area.;
